Architectural Study of Heritage Urban Fabric
These illustrations are part of my work as a conservation architect in historic urban zones, often referred to as heritage fabric. These areas mark the origins of cities, with winding streets and low-rise buildings that reflect traditional lifestyles and construction methods.
My role was to study surviving structures and extract architectural patterns—materials, proportions, and visual rhythms—that define the character of these neighborhoods. These studies helped guide new designs to harmonize with the existing urban identity without direct imitation.
The drawing showcases key elements like brick facades, bay windows, and pitched roofs, serving as a visual reference for context-sensitive architectural design.
